'Spriggans' - self-catering cottage

  • Spriggans is an early 19th century granite miners’ cottage near St Just, in the peaceful hamlet of Carnyorth. The cottage has lovely views to the south over the fields, and westward, across fields to the sea.

  • This lovely cottage has been gently restored, and is comfortably furnished and equipped for 4 people. Upstairs there is a double room with a kingsize bed, and a twin room with two 3 foot singles. Downstairs is a living room with a woodburning stove, a simple well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom with WC and bath with shower over, and a dining room/studio, equipped with easel, dust sheets and roll-up rug for those who want to paint!

Parking, Location, Transport, Pubs

  • It has sunny, exciting and generous gardens, and off-road parking for 2 cars. From the front door you can walk up across fields onto the moors, or down across fields to the Atlantic.

Good pubs in Botallack and Trewellard are a short walk away. Penzance is about 7 miles. St Ives is about 12 miles along the Coast Road eastwards, Lands End is about 6 the other way. The bus stops just across the green, and goes to St Just, Penzance, St Ives and villages in between.
